Falak Awamleh joined JICO as the Legal Coordinator in February 2018 and earned a well-deserved promotion to the manager of the legal department by the end of 2022. Motivated by a desire to gain valuable experience within a supportive environment, she seeks to nurture her self-drive, skills, and initiative while contributing to the organization’s success.

As Legal Department Manager, Al-Awamleh is responsible for a vast range of legal tasks, including drafting and approving all legal contracts and remedies with third parties, using negotiating techniques to reach settlements and avoid litigation, preparing legal department court cases, and organizing court testimonies where needed and conducting follow-ups on any legal actions related to outstanding premiums or recoveries. Furthermore, she assesses company clients for money laundering risks using the SafeWatch World Check software, coordinates and monitors the payments/receipts to and from the legal advisors and consistently stays up to date on any new laws and regulations.

Before joining JICO, Al-Awamleh held the position of Associate at Zaru Mauge Law Firm from 2016-2018. She specialized in corporate law, commercial law, regulatory impact assessment (RIA), legal consulting, legal research as well as litigation. Awamleh was responsible for negotiating cases to settle disputes and avoid escalations to court, attending court hearings, preparing and drafting legal documents, handling companies’ registration at Jordan’s Ministry of Industry and Trade, and much more.

Al-Awamleh obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Law from the University of Jordan in 2013. She is proficient in Microsoft Office applications and boasts solid experience in using legal software programs, such as Adaleh and Qostas. Beyond her professional endeavors, Falak regularly stays up to date with the latest research, engages with community work, and revels in reading.
