Hiba Shatara is a seasoned professional with approximately 16 years of experience in the banking, electronic payment, and telecommunications sectors, with a particular focus on risk management and compliance. Throughout her career, she has developed and implemented strategies to effectively manage risks and ensure regulatory compliance, contributing to the achievement of organizational goals and adherence to both local and international standards. She holds a Master’s degree in E-Business and a Bachelor’s degree in CIS.
Throughout her career, Hiba has held significant positions, including Compliance Manager at Umniah Mobile Company, where she established the compliance unit. As the Operational Risk and Compliance Manager at Network International, she established the compliance and Operational risk unit, led the development of compliance frameworks and engaged with regulatory bodies to address compliance issues. Her earlier experience at Arab Bank involved operational risk management and information security, where she conducted risk assessments and trained staff on compliance policies.
Hiba is certified in various areas, including Anti-Money Laundering, Operational Risk Management, and Compliance, and possesses strong skills in business administration, process improvement, project management, and leadership. Her extensive experience and expertise enable her to effectively navigate complex regulatory landscapes and enhance organizational compliance and risk management practices.
