Jerusalem Insurance supported the “Your Support Brings Joy to an Orphan Child” initiative as part of the Eid Al-Adha campaign organized by SOS Children’s Villages Jordan. The initiative aimed to encourage benevolent individuals to support orphaned and abandoned children living in the organization’s three villages, ensuring they have a safe and happy childhood.
SOS Children’s Villages launched its annual campaign for Eid Al-Adha 2022 under the slogan “Your Support Brings Joy to an Orphan Child,” urging kind-hearted people to support orphaned and abandoned children in its three villages.
The organization explained that this campaign, supported by Jerusalem Insurance, focused on sharing the joy of Eid with the children under its care, bringing happiness to their hearts. SOS Children’s Villages strives to provide a family environment that offers children love and security, along with a foster mother who provides them with care and attention.

The organization highlighted various ways to support, and sponsor orphaned and abandoned children, including its website, eFAWATEERcom, digital wallets, and other donation channels available online and through social media platforms. Donations can also be made by contacting the designated charity numbers. The sponsorship costs are as follows:
- Child sponsorship: 15 Jordanian Dinars per month
- Youth sponsorship: 25 Jordanian Dinars per month
- Family sponsorship (5-7 individuals): 50 Jordanian Dinars per month
- Corporate sponsorship of a family home in the villages: 15,000 Jordanian Dinars annually, covering part of the operational expenses for one year.
It is worth mentioning that SOS Children’s Villages Jordan is a national, non-profit organization founded in 1983. It operates in the field of social development, providing care for 260 orphaned and abandoned children and youth in family-style homes and community settings in Amman, Irbid, and Aqaba. It also supports young people up to the age of 23, helping them transition into independence.
The care model in SOS Children’s Villages ensures comprehensive support for children and youth by addressing various aspects of their well-being, including housing, food security, education, healthcare, psychological support, empowerment, economic security, protection, and social integration, all within a warm and nurturing family environment.
