Lara AlSabi Assistant Manager – Risk, Compliance Department
Lara AlSabi was recently recruited as the Assistant Manager of Risk, Compliance, and Quality Control at JICO. Described by colleagues as having a friendly demeanor, AlSabi has 18 years of experience in risk, compliance, and quality control and further specializes in anti-money laundering.
Before joining JICO, AlSabi worked in the Business Integration Unit/Risk department of Etihad Bank from 2006 to 2013. Before that, she held posts in the Compliant Unit/Compliance Department at the Bank of Jordan from 2013 to 2014, and later in the AML Unit/Compliance Department at Arab Bank from 2015 to 2022.
AlSabi holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and banking from Al-Zaytoonah University as well as a certificate in Anti-Money Laundering Specialty (CAMS). AlSabi takes pride in having provided a fully specialized training program to all bank employees in Etihad Bank.
Outside of work, AlSabi likes volunteering with charities to serve the less privileged sectors of Jordanian society, hiking to view beautiful landscapes, and exploring the vast areas of wilderness and nature in Jordan. A fun fact about AlSabi is that she does not like to drink coffee.
